From my early days as a medical student at Ife College of Health Sciences in Nigeria to becoming a recognized physician and healthcare leader in Brooklyn, New York, my journey reflects a steadfast commitment to the highest standards of patient care. Guided by a profound belief in compassionate healthcare delivery, I have dedicated my career to meeting the diverse needs of patients across various clinical environments.
Upon earning my Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences in the early ’80s, I embarked on a trajectory that would be rich in clinical experience and professional development.
For over 28 years, I have thrived in my private practice, continuously refining my expertise in internal medicine and geriatrics. My diverse practice has allowed me to diagnose and treat a plethora of medical conditions, reinforcing my belief that a personalized approach to healthcare delivers the best outcomes for patients. The relationships I’ve built with families in my community have illuminated the profound impact of trust and understanding in the physician-patient relationship.
In addition to my private practice, I dedicated significant time to teaching future generations of physicians as an Adjunct Professor of Clinical Medicine at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center. Engaging with students allowed me to share my knowledge and passion for internal medicine, shaping new healthcare professionals who carry on the mantle of compassionate care.
Throughout my career, I have sought opportunities to expand my expertise in emergency medicine, hospital care, and long-term rehabilitation. From my early days as a staff physician in urgent care centers to my ongoing role as Medical Director at Skilled Nursing Facilities, each experience has enriched my perspective on patient care across the continuum, ensuring that I address the holistic needs of my patients—be it in urgent or long-term settings.
As I continue to cater to the healthcare needs of my community, my aspiration is to advocate for exceptional patient experiences, inspire fellow healthcare providers, and contribute meaningfully to initiatives that push the boundaries of healthcare quality.

A graduate of Xinxiang Medical College in 1987, Dr. Orafidiya has built a distinguished career focused on providing exceptional care to adults, particularly the elderly. Affiliated with Brookdale Hospital Medical Center and Maimonides Midwood Community Hospital, he is known for his compassionate approach and commitment to personalized patient care.
